Annual Mother’s Day Community Planting

Mothers Day
Celebrate with Meaning: Plant Trees, Enjoy Music, and Share Food

Join us for our annual Mother’s Day community planting event, a cherished tradition that combines environmental stewardship with community celebration in showing our love for all our mums and our Mother Earth. Since 2014, Brunswick Valley Landcare has partnered with local businesses and organisations such as Mullum Music Fest and Little Valley Distribution to create an event that is both festive and fruitful.

Event Overview:
  • Community Involvement: Each year, hundreds of participants gather to plant thousands of trees, making a direct and positive impact on our local ecosystems. It’s a hands-on way for families, friends, and individuals to contribute to a greener future.
  • Festive Atmosphere: Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music and delicious food, making it a perfect way to spend Mother’s Day.
  • Location Variety: The event takes place on both public and private properties in and around Mullumbimby, showcasing the community’s wide-ranging commitment to environmental health.

Why Participate?
  • Make a Difference: Each tree planted helps to restore and enhance local habitats, supporting biodiversity and improving air and soil quality.
  • Build Community: This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, bond with family and friends, and engage with your community in a meaningful way.
  • Enjoy the Outdoors: Spend the day outdoors, enjoying nature and the company of fellow nature lovers in a festive setting.
